Linfield College vs. University of Puget Sound

Division 3 college football is terrific. I get a little pissed that it doesn't get main stream media coverage. Geez, high school ball gets more press than D3 football. Well I'm going to do my bit here on my little itty bitty blog. Just cuz I can. Photographic diarrhea, D3 style:

Linfield College Family Weekend

#85 was moved back to defense end and he got to play in Linfield's 37-0 victory over UPS. He made several tackles, so I got to hear his name announced. We took him out for a steak dinner after the game.

On the field after the game, all the parents got to visit and hang out with their favorite players.

A very good day indeed.

Ah yes, UPS, very close to where I live and work. So I'm sorry to hear that they lost, but congrats to Linfield!

Your son's a very handsome young man. You must be very proud of him!

Like Axe, all I know about American Football is that Vincent played a footballer in Good Luck.

They seem to be remaking so many of his films, perhaps your son could audition if they made a remake of that!

An Awesome day! Nice pics! I agree with you about the lack of coverage and respect given to smaller divisions.

I imagine it's not cheap feeding #85 steak! What a strapping young man! Congrats on the win and it sounds like lots of fun! Good football coverage by the way :)

Claire I have to say it...Your son is a Hunk!! (Don't worry Vincent is still at the top of my list :)

Off of football for a moment. The tree next to the stadium...Beautiful! Fall is in the air.

Off topic I know, but hey - I've just noticed you love reading sci-fi/horror, the more bloody the better.. wow, now I know we're sisters!! (wink)

ah, you're right, they should give it more coverage than high school ball. so glad you did this post, i luv hearing how much you support your kids! (ok, i so get now why you can't drool over brady quinn! you're right, it would be a little on the wierd side) glad he got to play!

Testament to how much I like you:

this is the closest I've been to a football game in 22 years.

axe- that's ok, thanks for the visit!

rose- I'll do my best

jojo- Thanks, I am. He is a hard working kid

val- I always look for that movie and can never find it.

wreckless- you bet!

g- I can tell you my grocery bill goes up by a lot when he comes home! And I have mucho leftovers when he's gone that don't get eaten.

tess- Oregon is so beautiful. The campus is absolutely lovely with lots and lots of flowers.

diesel- that's ok, I can bring you up to speed ;)

sws- I'm not actually a big fan of lots of blood. But I do love a good scare!

kris- glad you can see what I mean! I will do at least one more post on their season. When they come down to play Menlo College, our whole family + friends are going and having a tailgate party.

jocelyn- Wow that's cool. I think the last comment I left at your blog sounded grammatically weird cuz I was up at 3:00 am with an allergy attack. The boy I once would have stepped in front of a speeding train to protect, would now do the same for me (and have a lot better shot at pulling it off!).

Hmmmn, I imagine it was if that last photo is anything to go by.. (best lecherous grin spread wide)

Hi! I've been a really terrible blogger lately and not getting around like I want to. I love your pics, and I agree that it's a shame that high school football gets more coverage than Div III.

It looks lovely at the game. Perfect football weather. :) And your favourite player is quite the handsome fellow. Must be good genes. :)
