Good Day Sunshine

I went Christmas shopping today. It felt good and I spent a little too much money. I didn't feel impatient with the enormous woman who decided to start looking for her checkbook after her items were rung up and then the register wouldn't read (or accept) her check. I went to four different stores. I wasn't angry when the guy in the big truck went the wrong direction in the parking lot and almost smashed me.

WP washed the dogs and now they smell good again.

FPM comes home next week!

TestCase sold another car!

Hummingbirds are visiting my new feeder.

Feeling unruffled, are we? Good for you. TestCase is selling cars?

tess - jeez, they wouldn't take her check and she didn't have a debit card, so they kicked her over to customer service. She was so big she was in one of those scooter things.

diesel - sometimes it feels good to be unruffled :) TC is now selling VW's at their local dealership. He's good at it cuz he's a great bullshitter and very extroverted. Needless to say I couldn't do that in a billion years!

So few places still accept checks. Soon they'll go the way of bowler hats, vinyl records and etiquette... Big people with wheels - must be an American thing. In South Africa, people with wheels tend to be thin and paralyzed. Hummingbirds! Please post pictures if you have them.

What I want to see is when we can just go to the store and then everything we walk out with is automatically debited against our bank account. If you walk out of the store without having an account set up, then four cars built in the 30s roll up, five guys get out of each car all dressed up like Chicago mobsters with hat brims tipped forward and cigarettes dangling from their mouths as they open up and spray you with Tommy guns, a la St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Do you think anyone will ever again try to shoplift? No. They won't. And for those of us who pay, we get to walk right out the door, no questions asked, nodding and winking to the dude squad, all dressed up and just waiting for somewhere to go.

I have tons of solutions for global problems. Tons, I tell ya.

EOH - I'm gonna try for pics. The feeder is outside my kitchen window. They look kind of dull right now. I love watching all the birds that hang out in my yard. I have many feeders stationed near my kitchen window. Sometimes I get distracted watching their antics while washing dishes.

gawpo: Earth Emperor -go for it dude! Love the visual.

jojo -I wish this for you as well.

Seem to me there are two ways people go at Christmas - either they are extra polite and helpful - or they are total, ignorant pains-in-the-ass.

I lurch between the two.
