jojo- yeah, me too. val- Barbaro would have been quite valuable as a stud horse (no AI allowed in thoroughbred racing), however I kept up with story and it really sounded like the owners and the vet agreed that without one good leg to stand on he was just in too much pain.It seemed as if they had his best interests at heart. Sometimes bad things happen to good horses.

I was absolutely broken hearted about this.....I cried yesterday. Poor Barbaro. I hope he's running happily in that pasture in the sky.
I do give his owners a ton of credit for spending vast amounts of money to try to save him, instead of putting him down last spring.

I heard that his son was speechless.
But then, he's a little horse.
I know, I shouldn't have said that. But I make that joke whenever I have the slightest opportunity.
